5、onthecontraryisabriefbutrathersystematicintroductiontotwotopics,singularhomology(Chapter2)andsheaftheory,includingtheircohomology(Chapter3).Chapter1assemblessomebasicsfactinhomologicalalgebraanddevelopsthefirstrudimentsofdeRhamcohomology,withtheaimofprovidingan
6、exampletothevariousabstractconstructions.Chapter4isanintroductiontospectralsequences,aratherintricatebutverypower-fulcomputationtool.Theexamplesprovidedherearefromsheaftheorybutthiscom-putationaltechniquesisalsoveryusefulinalgebraictopology.Ithankallmycolleagu
