3、mforexample)thenthefacedetectionstagecanoftenbeskipped,astheregionofinterestisalreadyknown.Therefore,wediscusseyelocalisationhere,withabriefdiscussionoffacedetectionintheliteraturereview(section3.1.1).Theeyelocalisationmethodisusedtoalignthe2Dfaceimagesofthevarioustestsetsusedthroug

4、houtthissection.However,toensurethatallresultspresentedarerepresentativeofthefacerecognitionaccuracyandnotaproductoftheperformanceoftheeyelocalisationroutine,allimagealignmentsaremanuallycheckedandanyerrorscorrected,priortotestingandevaluation.Wedetectthepositionoftheeyeswithinanima
