5、edatasetsmustbesharedbyalargecommunityofhundredsorthousandsofusersdistributedaroundtheworld.Datagridsarebecomingincreasinglyimportantforsharinglargedatacollections,archivinganddisseminating.Researchesonmassivestoragesystemhavegainedsignificantachievements.
6、Therearealreadyanumberofstoragesystemsusedbythegridcommunity,eachofwhichwasdesignedtosatisfyspecificneedsandrequirementsforstoring,transferringandaccessinglargedatasets.TheseincludeDistributedParallelStorageSystem(DPSS)andHighPerformanceStorageSystem(HPSS)
7、,whichprovidehighperformanceaccesstodataandutilizeparalleldatatransferand/orstripingacrossmultipleserverstoimproveperformance[4][28].DistributedFileSystem(DFS)supportshigh-volumeusage,datasetreplicationandlocalcaching.OceanStoreisaglobalpersistentdatastore
