5、uring,industrialization,moderate-scaleoperation,rurallabortransferandpeasantincomeenhancement.However,suchstudiesrarelyinvolveland’simpactonchangesinthehierarchicalstructureofcurrentruralChina.ChenChengwenandLuoZhongyong(2006)focusondissectingtheoverallruralstructureandexaminingtheroleoflandt
6、ransferinreconstructingtheruralsocialstructure.Somescholarsarguethatderegulatingthetransferoflandwillleadtopolarizationamongthepeasantry(WenTiejun,2008;LiChangping,2008),butsuchanargumentismerelyamacrojudgmentwithoutfactualsupportatthemicrolevel.Chinaisahugecountrywithunevendevelopmentinrural
