2、eAdministrationforImportandExportCommodityInspectiononOctober23,1992)ChapterIGeneralProvisionsArticle1TheseRegulationsareformulatedinaccordancewiththeLawofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaonImportandExportCommodityInspection(hereinafterreferredtoastheLawofCommodityInspection).Article2TheStateAdminist

3、rationforImportandExportCommodityInspectionofthePeople’sRepublicofChina(hereinafterreferredtoastheStateAdministrationforCommodityInspection)shallbeinchargeoftheinspectionworkofimportandexportcommoditiesthroughoutthecountry.Article3Theimportandexportcommodityinspectionbureauxandtheirbranches(he

4、reinafterreferredtoasthecommodityinspectionauthorities)setupbytheStateAdministrationforCommodityInspectionintheprovinces,autonomousregionsandmunicipalitiesdirectlyundertheCentralGovernment,aswellasatportsandconcentratinganddistributingcentresofimportandexportcommoditiesshallbeinchargeoftheinsp

5、ectionworkofimportandexportcommoditiesintheregionsundertheirjurisdiction.Thecommodityinspectionauthoritiesareheldresponsibleforinspectionandsurveyingoftheimportandexportcommodities,administrationandsupervisionoverthequalityandinspectionworkofimportandexportcommodities.Article4Inthelightofthene

6、edinthedevelopmentofforeigntrade,theStateAdministrationforCommodityInspectionshallformulate,adjustandpublishaListofImportandExportCommoditiesSubjecttoInspectionEnforcedbytheCommoditiesInspectionAuthorities(hereinafterreferredtoastheListofCommodities)forthosecommoditieswhichinvolvesocialandpubl

7、icinterests.Article5ThestatutoryinspectiononimportsandexportsbythecommodityinspectionauthoritiesorinspectionagenciesdesignatedbytheStateAdministrationforCommodityInspectionorcommodityinspectionauthoritiescovers:(1)inspectionofimportande
