5、her'sDay.Ms.Jarvispersuadedhermother'schurchinWestVirginiatocelebrateMother'sDayonthesecondanniversaryofhermother'sdeath,the2ndSundayofMay.ThenextyearMother'sDaywasalsocelebratedinPhiladelphia.Ms.Jarvisandhersupportersbegantowritetoministers,businessmen,andpoliticiansinthe
6、irquesttoestablishanationalMother'sDay.Itwassuccessfulasby1911Mother'sDayhadbeencelebratedinalmosteverystate.PresidentWoodrowWilson,in1914,madetheofficialannouncementproclaimingMother'sDayasanationalholidaythatwastobeheldeachyearonthe2ndSundayofMay.Whilemanycountriescelebr
