5、acampaigntoestablishanationalMother'sDay.Ms.Jarvispersuadedhermother'schurchinWestVirginiatocelebrateMother'sDayonthesecondanniversaryofhermother'sdeath,the2ndSundayofMay.ThenextyearMother'sDaywasalsocelebratedinPhiladelphia.Ms.Jarvisandhersupportersbegantowritetom
6、inisters,businessmen,andpoliticiansintheirquesttoestablishanationalMother'sDay.Itwassuccessfulasby1911Mother'sDayhadbeencelebratedinalmosteverystate.PresidentWoodrowWilson,in1914,madetheofficialannouncementproclaimingMother'sDayasanationalholidaythatwastobeheldeach
