4、massofMgintheMg—Ti0,andAI—Ti0,systemsweretheoreticallycalculatedandanalyzedrespectively.TheresultsshowthatthereactionsofMg—Ti0,andAI—Ti0,areveryeasytotakeplaceandthereactionofproducingvariOUSsuboxidesofTimayoccurinMg—Ti0,andAI—Ti0,reactionsystem:theadiabatictemperatureof
5、M2一TiO,becomeslowerwithincreasingmassfractionofMg.Theadiabatictemperatureisbelowl800KwhenthemassfractionofexcessiveMgexceeds25%:TheadiabatictemperatureofAI.Ti0,alsobecomeslowerwithincreasingmassfractionofAI.butitbecomeshigherwiththepreheattemperatureincrement.Theadiabati

7、IntroductionSelf_propagatinghigh—temperaturesynthesis(SHS)providesanattractivepromisingalternativetotheconventionaImethodsofproducingtheadvancedmaterialssuchasborides,carbides,silicides,aluminides,andotherintermetalliccompoundsfrompowdermixtureofmetalandnonmetalelements.
