3、itionkineticsofflameretardanthighimpactpolystyrene(HIPS)withtriphenylphosphate(TPP)andnovolactypeepoxyresin(NE)werecharacterizedusingthermo-gravimetricexperiment.Andtheflammabilitywasdeterminedbylimitedoxygenindices(LOI).TheLOIresultsshowthatTPPandNEhadagoodsynthe

4、ticeffectontheflameretardancyofHIPS.ComparedwithpureHIPS,theLOIvaluesofHIPS/NEandHIPS/TPPonlyincreasedbyabout5%.andtheLOIvalueofHIPS/TPP/NEreached42-3%.nearly23%abovethatofHIPS.AUmaterialsshowedonemaindecompositionstep.asradicalHIPSscissionpredominatedduringanaero

5、bicdecomposition.TPPincreasedtheactivityenergyeffectivelywhileNEaffectedthetherma1.oxidativedegradationmorewiththehelpofthecharformation.WithbothTPPandNE.thematerialscouldhaveacomparablegoodresultofboththermalandthermal-oxidativedegradation,whichcouldcontributetot
