4、lesscommunicationsystemshavebeendevelopingandevolvingwithafuriouspace.Thenumberofmobilesubscribershasbeengrowingtremendouslyinthepastdecades.Intheearlystages,wirelesscommunicationsystemsweredominatedbymilitaryusageandsupportedaccordingtomilitaryneedsandrequirements.Duringthelastha

5、lfacentury,withincreasingcivilapplicationsofmobileservices,commercialwirelesscommunicationsystemshavebeentakingthelead.Theearlywirelesssystemsconsistedofabasestationwithahigh-powertransmitterandservedalargegeographicarea.Eachbasestationcouldserveonlyasmallnumberofusersandwascostly

6、aswell.ThesystemswereisolatedfromeachotherandonlyafewofthecommunicatedwiththePSTN(PublicSwitchedTelephoneNetworks).Today,thecellularsystemsconsistofaclusterofba-sestationwithlowpowerradiotransmitters.Eachbasestationservesasmallcellwithinalargegeographicarea.Thetotalnumberofusersse
