2、elpdeterminetheextenttowhichthesecompoundsmayaffectthestratosphericozonelayer.TheFluorocarbonProgramPanel(FPP),administeredbytheChemicalManufacturersAssociation(CMA),issupportedby19CFCmanufacturersfromNorthAmerica,Europe,Japan,andAustralia.FPPhasreviewedtodateabout580res

3、earchproposals,andprojectstotallingabout$18million.have,beenfundedworldwide.Calendar1986commitments,areexpectedtototalabout$1.8million.Thissummarydescribessomeofthe.recentandongoingworksupportedbyFPP.AmoredetailedresearchsummarycanbeobtainedfromtheCMA.*SCOPEOFPROGRAMFPPs

4、ponsoredresearchhasmadeamajorefforttowardestimatingandinterpretingchangesintotalcolumnozone,theozoneprofile,andthetemperatureprofileoverthelastdecadeandahalf.Thisresearchhasbeenan.interdisciplinaryeffortinvolvingstatisticians,meteorologists,andmodelers.Sensitivityanalyse
