4、,thiscourseseeksaholisticunderstandingoftheroleofthecarinAmericanlife.Itwillexaminetheinventionandadoptionoftheautomobile,theriseofassembly-linemanufacturing,theevolutionofroadsidearchitecture,andthechallengesposedbyoilshortages.Itseekstodrawavarietyofstudentsandencouragethemtothinkabo
5、utoneofthefundamentalinteractionsbetweenhumansandmachinesinthehistoryofthenationandintheirownlives.GoalsInthiscourse,studentswill:·ReflectonthesignificanceoftheautomobileinshapingtheAmericaweknowtoday,includingtheirowndailylives.·Usetheautomobiletounderstandtheinterconnectionsamongtech
