3、alyzedthemonthlyvariationsofstablewaterisotopesindifferentreservoirsatManus,Brazil,usingtheCommunityLandModel(CLM)thatincorporatesstableisotopiceffectsasadiagnostictoolforunderstandingstablewaterisotopicprocesses,fillingtheobservationaldatagapsandpredictinghydrometeorologi
4、calprocesses.Thesimulationresultsshowthattheδ18Ovaluesinprecipitation,vaporandsurfacerunoffhavedistinctseasonalitywiththemarkednegativecorrelationswithcorrespondingwateramount.ComparedwiththesurveyresultsbytheInternationalAtomicEnergyAgency(IAEA)inco-operationwiththeWorldM
5、eteorologicalOrganization(WMO),thesimulationsbyCLMrevealthesimilartemporaldistributionsoftheδ18Oinprecipitation.Moreover,thesimulatedamounteffectbetweenmonthlyδ18Oandmonthlyprecipitationamount,andMWL(meteoricwaterline)areallclosetothemeasuredvalues.However,thesimulatedseas
6、onaldifferenceintheδ18Oinprecipitationisdistinctlysmallerthanobservedone,andthesimulatedtemporaldistributionoftheδ18Oinprecipitationdisplaystheidealbimodalseasonalityratherthantheobservedsingleone.Thesemismatchesarepossiblyrelatedtothesimulationcapacityandtheveracityinforc
