4、ndSpringer-VerlagBerlinHeidelberg2013Abstract:RuraltourisminChina,hasundergonearapiddevelopmentinthelastthreedecades.Itisanemergingandeffectivecatalystthatpromotesindustrialrestructuring,agriculturaldevelopmentandtheupgradingofruralareas.However,thereremainslittleu
5、nderstandingaboutthecoreissuesofruraltourisminChina:theexactconnotation,theprinciples,thedevelopmentmodelsandthefuturedirections.Thisreviewpaperidentifiesthekeyissuesbasedonliteratureanalysis,nationalstatisticsandpressreportstoformageneralpictureofthepast,thecurren
6、tandthefutureprospectsofChina’sruraltourism.Thepaperfirstlyaddressesthedefinition,contentandprinciplesofruraltourism,andthenprovidesanoverviewandbriefevaluationoftheprogressandthecurrentdevelopmentmodelsinChina.Finally,basedontheanalysisoftheexperiencesandproblems,
