7、el-quency(1–5Hz)membranepotentialoscillations(Fig.1e)andinthelularmembranepotential(Vm)dynamicsofbehavinganimals.membranepotentialvariance(Fig.1f).Inbothgroupsofmice,layerHereweshow,usingdualwhole-cellrecordingsfromlayer2/32/3corticalneuronsdepolarizedslightlybutsignificantlyd
8、uringprimarysomatosensorybarrelcortexinbehavingmice,thatthewhisking(Fig.1g)withoutoverallchangesinfiringrates(Fig.1h).Vmofnearbyneuronsishighlycorrelatedduringquietwakeful-Noneoftheseparameterswassignificantlydifferentwhencomparingness.However,whenthemouseiswhisking,aninternal
9、lygener-preparationsinwhichthenervewasintacttothoseinwhichthenerveatedstatechangereducestheVmcorrelation,resultinginawascut(Fig.1e–h).Therefore,themostprominentchangesinbraindesynchronizedlocalfieldpotentialandelectroencephalogram.statecomparingquietwakefulnesstowhiskingperiod
