2、demicayearago.TheGlobalConsumerConfidenceIndexistheaverageof24worldmarkets’NationalIndices.Itisbasedonamonthlysurveyofmorethan17,500adultsundertheageof75conductedonIpsos’GlobalAdvisoronlineplatform.ThissurveywasfieldedbetweenFebruary19andMarch5,2021.Sixofthe24surveyedmarketsshowsignifica
3、ntgrowthintheirNationalIndexwhencomparedtoFebruary2021:GreatBritain(+3.6),theUnitedStates(+2.2),Belgium(+1.8),Canada(+1.7),Japan(+1.7),andTurkey(+1.6).Meanwhile,notasinglemarkethasexperiencedasignificantdrop,definedas1.5indexpointsormore.NationalIndexTrendsRoughlyoneyearaftertheWorldHeal
4、thOrganizationdeclaredCOVID-19apandemiconMarch11,2020,theGlobalConsumerConfidenceIndexcomesinat44.7,aboutfourpointsbelowwhereitwasthen(48.5)aswellasacoupleofmonthsearlier,inJanuary2020(48.7),justbeforetheworldhadheardofthecoronavirus.Witha0.8-pointuptickoverFebruary2021’sreading,theindex
5、showsamonthlyincreaseforthefourthstraightmonth.·WithaNationalIndexabove50,China(71.8),SaudiArabia(62.9),India(56.9),Sweden(55.9),Australia(55.4),theUnitedStates(52.5),andGermany(51.9)arethehighestindexingmarketssurveyed.·JusttwomarketshaveaNationalIndexbelow35:SouthAfrica(34.7)andTurkey(
