4、ativelydifferentsedimentaryhis-tory,weneedtomakeexplorationofeachbasinandsub-basinindetailtograsptheexplorationprospectsoftheEastAfricanRiftSystem.Inthispaper,startingfromtheoverallgeologicalsettingoftheEastAfricanRift,weanalyzethetectonicevolutionoftheEastAfricanRift,studythepetro-leumgeologica
5、lfeaturesofsevenmajorgrabensofthewesternbranch,thencombinewiththeex-plorationhistoryofdifferentregions,andweobtaintheevaluationresultsofthewesternbranch(Lakes)oftheEastAfricanRift.WethinkthattheoilandgasresourcesofAlbertGrabenandTan-ganyikaGrabenareveryrichandhaveagreatexplorationpotential;theoi
