4、es/by/4.0/OpenAccessAbstractTheEarlyCretaceousterrestrialZhidanGroupoftheOrdosBasin,InnerMongoliaproducedab-undantfossilvertebratesincludingseveraldinosaurgroupssuchastheropods,stegosaursandpsittacosaurids.Recently,anincompleteankylosaurskeletonhasbeenfoundfromtheLuohan-dongFormationatLaolon
5、ghuozisite,HangjinQi.Fortunately,aclusterofgastrolithsandsomeareaofscaleimpressionsareclearlypreserved.Atleast22pebblesarepresentedatthepositionjustaheadofsynsacrum.Theyarehardandrounded,witheachpebbleroughly20millimetersto35millimetersinlongaxis.Thesepebblesshouldbeinterpretedasgastroliths(
6、stomachstones).Morethan40squarecentimetersofscaleimpressionsareexposednearthecervicalvertebrae.Eachscaleisgenerallytrapezoidinoutline,withtheareavaryingfrom6squaremillimetersto12squaremillimeters.Thesescalesaresmallandseparate,comparedwiththerelativelylargeandvariousshapedosteodermsinankylos
7、aurs.ThisspecimenrepresentsnotonlythefirstfindingofankylosaurdinosaursamongtheEarlyCretaceousvertebratefaunainOrdosBasin,butalsothefirstexampleoftheankylosaurgastrolithsandscaleimpressionsinChina.KeywordsAnkylosaurs,Gastroliths,ScaleImpressions,Ear
