3、nitedKingdomorAmerica.instituteasystemofteacherpaymentspercapitagrantsforsectarianor“denominational”schoolthusrenderingthemvirtuallyfreeforstudentswhilemaintainingtheformersectarianstructuresofedcationresultafter1960,theparticipationinsecondleveledcationrosefromabout45%toupto90%In1996-1997theIr

4、ishgovernmentextendedfreeeducationtocoverallpublicuniersities,asiscommoninmostofEuropeancourtries.Asaresult,todaytheIrisheducationsystemisamongthecheapestandbestinEurope-buttheuniversitiesthemselvescomplaintheyarechronically(长期地)starvedforfunding.Itshouldbenotedthat“free”edcationatIrishuniversi
