3、gytorealizetherationalallocationandefficientuseofnaturalresources・Soilisfoundationforagricultureandfertilizerthefoodforcrop(Jin,1998)・HowtonumagesoilnutrientsandallocateefficientlyorganicandinorganicresourcesofnutrientsisthekeyforsustainabledevelopmentofagricullureinChina.Since1
4、970,s,alotofworkhasbeendoneandgoodprogresshasbeenmadeinsoiltestingandimprovementoffertilizerapplication.But,equalrateapplicationoffertilizerisusuallyrecommendedfora15-20haoffieldwithignoranceofsoi1nutrientvariabilitywithinthefield,whichcausedthatsomeregionsofthefieldreceivedtoom
5、uchfertilizer,butotherstoo1ittle・Astheresults,thelandandnutrientresourceswastedwithlostofopportunitiesandbenefit・LittleworkhasbeendoneinChinatounderstandthespatialvariabiIityofsoi1nutrienls,whichaffectthesustaintibledcvclopmentofagriculture・Theprecisionagriculturehasbeensuccessf
6、ullydevelopedindevelopedcountrieswithadvaneedconditionofmechanizationandlargescaleoperation・Thebasicprincipleonvariableratetechnique(VRT)andsite-specificnutrientmanagement(SSNM),whichadjusteachagricultureinputpreciselyonthebasisofthespecificconditionofeachoperationunitofthefield
