4、eapplications,liketransportation,logistics,andscheduling.OneofthesimplestversionsoftheVRPistheCapacitatedVehicleRoutingProblem(CVRP).TheCVRPisagraphproblemthatcanbedescribedasfollows:thequantityqishouldbedeliveredtocustomeri(i=1,...,n)fromasingledepotusingafleetofvehi

5、cleswithcapacityC.AsolutionoftheCVRPisacollectionoftourswhereeachcustomerisvisitedonlyonceandthetotaltourdemandisatmostC,withtheobjectiveofminimizingthetotaldistancetraveledbyallthevehicles.TheVRPhasbeenprovedtobeNP-hard(Laporte1992)andthesolutionmethodsappliedarangef

6、romexactmethodstospecificheuristicsandmeta-heuristics.Thebranchandboundorbranchandcutmethodsprovideoptimalsolutions(HadjiconstantinouandChristofides1995)however,someproblemswith75nodesarenotsolvedyet(Prins2004).Therefore,heuristicalgorithmsarehighlywelcometosolvelarge
