2、posedforroutingspatiallydistributedexcessprecipitationoverawatershedtoproducerunoffatitsoutlet.Thelandsurfaceisrepresentedbya(raster)digitalelevationmodelfromwhichthestreamnetworkisderived.Aroutingresponsefunctionisde®nedforeachdigitalelevationmodelcellsothatwatermovementfrom
3、celltocellcanbeconvolvedtogivearesponsefunctionalonga¯owpathandresponsesfromallcellscanbesummedtogivetheoutlethydrograph.AnexampleapplicationofanalysisofrunoffonWallerCreekinAustin,Texas,ispresented.1.Introductionforeachcell,inwhichtheparametersarerelatedto¯owtime(¯owvelocity
4、)andtosheareffects(dispersioncoef®cient)inInrainfall-runoffcomputation,notonlyisthegenerationofthecell.Flowpathresponsefunctions,responsesattheoutletexcessprecipitationspatiallydistributed,butalsotheprecipi-toinstantaneousunitinputsinthecells,arecalculatedbytationitself,which
5、limitstheuseoftheunithydrographmodel.convolvingtheresponsesofthecellslocatedwithinthereach.ThetheorypresentedinthispaperisanattempttogeneralizeThewatershedresponseisobtainedasthesumofthe¯owpaththeunithydrographmethodforrunoffresponseandtodosoresponsestoaspatiallydistributedpr
