2、toserveasanadvisorybodytotheMayor,CityCouncil,andCityManageronenergypolicyandfutureenergyneedsforthemetropolitanSanDiegoareaandtoassisttheCity'sattainmentofitsenergyindependenceandrenewableenergygoals.(b)SustainableEnergyAdvisoryBoardEstablishedThereish

3、erebyestablishedaSustainableEnergyAdvisoryBoardconsistingofnineregularmembersandtwoalternatememberswhoshallservewithoutcompensation.ThemembersshallbeappointedbytheMayorandconfirmedbytheCouncil.Inmakingappointments,theMayormayconsiderrecommendationsmadeb

4、ymembersoftheCouncilandshallincludesevendesignatedmembers,tworegularat-largemembers,andtwoat-largealternatemembers.Thesevendesignatedmembersshallbeappointedfromthefollowingrepresentativeareasoforganizationalinterest,expertise,andbackground:(1)SanDiegoRe

5、gionalEnergyOffice[SANDAG](2)SanDiegoGas&ElectricCompany(3)EnvironmentalAdvocate(4)LaborOrganization(5)SolarPowerSystemManufacturerorInstaller(6)BuildingIndustry(7)ChamberofCommerce/BusinessCommunity.Thealternatemembersshallbedesignatednumbersoneandtwoa

6、ndshallattendmeetingslikeregularmembers.Intheeventanyregularmemberisabsentfromameetingwhereavoteonanyadvisoryrecommendationistaken,thealternate(s)shallvoteinplaceoftheabsentee(s)intheorderofalternatedesignation.Ch.Art.Div.26001SanDiegoMunicipalCodeChapt

7、er2:Government(6-2018)ResidencyintheCityofSanDiegoshallnotbeaconditionforappointmenttotheBoard.Themembersshallservetwo-yeartermsandeachmembershallserveuntilasuccessorisdulyappointedandconfirmed.AseatvacatedbyaBoardmemberfromadesignatedareaofrepresentati

8、onshallbefilledbyappointmentofanewmemberfromthesamedesignatedareaofrepresentation.Themembersshallbeappointedinsuchmannerthatthetermsofnotmorethanfivemembersshallexpireinanyyear.TheexpirationdateofalltermsshallbeMarch1.DuringMarch
