3、liquidmonopropellantpropulsionsystems,liquidbipropellantpropulsionsystems,andelectricpropulsionsystems.Intheareaofliquidmonopropellantsystems,Aerojethasrecentlydevelopedanewmonopropellantsystemthatprovidesapproximatelya60%density-specificimpulseimprovementoverhydrazine,enab
4、lingupto50%smallerandupto20%lighterspacecraftpropulsionsystemdesigns.Intheareaofliquidbipropellantpropulsionsystems,Aerojethasrecentlycompletedqualificationofahydrazine/NTOenginewithaniridium-rheniumchamberthatprovidesspecificimpulseperformanceof>328secondswhichcanprovidepr
5、opellantmasssavingsupto135kgonalargeGEOcommunicationssatelliteapogeemaneuver.Intheareaofelectricpropulsion,AerojethasmadeimportantnewadvancesinHallsystems,PulsedPlasmasystems,andIonsystemsthatofferevenmoredramaticsavings.InHallsystems,Aerojetrecentlysuccessfullycompletedqua
6、lificationofour4.5kWHallThrusterPropulsionSystem(HTPS).TheHTPScanprovidepropellantmasssavingsupto900kgforlargeGEOcommunicationssatellitemissions.AerojetisalsodevelopingaHigh-PowerhallPropulsionSystem(HPPS)underAirForcefundingthatcouldenableall-EPspacecraftdesignsinthefuture
7、,enablingsatellitemasssavingsupto1,600kg.Aerojethasalsorecentlysuccessfullycompletedin-flightvalidationofourPulsePlasmaThrusters(PPTs)forspacecraftACScontrol.PPTscanprovideveryfineimpulsebitcontroloveraverylonglife,allinaverysimplemodularpackage,andofferthepotentialtoreplac
8、ethemomentum/reactionwheelscurrentlyusedonspacecraftwithalighter,lower-costsolutio
