3、coveredtheaims,organization,methods,andoutcomesofassessmentprogramsandassociatedremediation.Results:Responsescamefrom15regulatorybodies,universities,not-for-profits,andhealthserviceorganizationsin5countries.Theassessmentprogramsandremediationactivitiesidentifiedweresmallinscale.Theirf
4、ocusrangedfromanarrowconcernwithidentifyingandrepairingspecificknowledgeandskillsdeficitstoawiderinterestinthebiopsychosocialfunctioningofthephysicianasawhole.Both“diagnosis”and“treatment”ofproblemsfocusedontheindividualphysician.Lessattentionwasgiventobroadersystemsorcontextualfactor
5、sthatmightimpactperformance.Althoughprogressthroughremediationwascarefullymonitored,noneoftheprogramsun-dertookregularsystematicfollow-uptoascertainthesuccessoftheirinterventionsinthelongerterm.Discussion:Thisfieldofactivityischaracterizedbytheuseofsophisticatedmethodsformeasuringperf
