3、tingofgranularsolidsinatwo-dimensionalspoutedbed.Thebediscontainedinarectangularcolumnof152mmwidthand15mmdepthwithataperedbase.Glassbeadswithadiameterof2mmareusedasbedmaterial.SimulationsusingtheDEMtogetherwithalowReynoldsnumberk–εturbulencemodelforthefluidphaseyieldpredictionsofthe
4、unstablespoutregime,characterizedasaperiodicupward-movingparticlejet.Thesimulationresultscomparewelltoexperimentaldataobtainedusingaparticleimagevelocimetry(PIV)technique,includingfluidflowfields,time-averagedparticlevelocityprofiles,andspoutshape.Finally,DEMpredictionsfordistributi
