3、atedwiththesevererestraintconditionspresentintypicalrepairweldingsituations.Inthispaper,residualstressresultsfromseveralweldrepaircasestudies,usingbothadvancedcomputationalmodellingproceduresandexperimentalmeasurementtechniques,arepresentedandreviewed.Fromtheseresults,itisevidentt
4、hatweldrepairstypicallyincreasethemagnitudeoftransverseresidualstressesalongtherepaircomparedwiththeinitialweldandthattheshortertherepairlengththegreatertheincreaseinthetransversestress.Also,beyondtheendsoftherepairthetransversestresssharplyfallsintocompression.Forselectedcases,pr
