2、ifywhetheraspeechshouldholdasupportiveoropposingopinion.Thesystemreliesonacombinationofseveralstate-of-the-artNLPmethodswhicharediscussedinthisreport.Theseincluden-grams,Justeson&KatzPOStagfilter,recurrentneuralnetworks,andlatentDirichletallocation.Sequencesofwo

3、rdsaregeneratedbasedonprobabil-itiesobtainedfromtwounderlyingmodels:Alanguagemodeltakescareofthegrammaticalcorrectnesswhileatopicmodelaimsfortextualconsistency.BothmodelsweretrainedontheConvotedatasetwhichcontainstranscriptsfromUScongressionalfloordebates.Furthe

4、rmore,wepresentamanualandanautomatedapproachtoevaluatethequalityofgeneratedspeeches.Inanexperimentaleval-uationgeneratedspeecheshaveshownveryhighqualityintermsofgrammaticalcorrectnessandsentencetransitions.1IntroductionManypoliticalspeechesshowthesamestructures

5、andsamecharacteristicsregardlessoftheactualtopic.Somephrasesandargumentsappearagainandagainandindicateacertainpoliticalaffiliationoropinion.Wewanttousetheseremarkablepatternstotrainasystemthatgeneratesnewspeeches.Sincetherearemajordifferencesbetweenthepoliticalp
