2、ations.Thesecompute-intensiveworkloadsarechallengingtoimplementwithgoodperformanceandpower-efficiency.Inmanyapplications,implementingcriticalportionsofcomputervisionworkloadsonageneral-purposegraphicsprocessingunit(GPU)isanattractivesolution.Qualcomm

3、enablesprogrammingoftheAdrenoGPUinitsSnapdragonapplicationprocessorsviatheopenstandardOpenCLlanguageandAPI.OpenCLsupportenablesprogrammerstooffloadcomputervisionalgorithmkernelstotheGPU,whichinturnprovidesspeedandpower-consumptionadvantagesoveraCPUim

4、plementation.BDTIdevelopedanAndroidapplicationdemonstratingcomputervisionfunctionalityutilizingtheAdreno420GPUinQualcomm’sSnapdragon805.TheBDTIapplicationcanruncompute-intensivecomputervisionfunctionsontheGPUortheCPU,enablingcomparisonsofGPUandCPUper
