3、ngthemwithglycerolsolutionandthenfreeze-drying.TheeffectsofglycerolpretreatmentonrecoveryandantioxidantenzymeactivitiesoflyophilizedRBCswereinvestigated.RBCspretreatedin40%glycerolresultedin55.3±4.26%numericalrecoveryand53.5±3.85%hemoglobinrecovery,whichweresig

4、nificantlydifferentfromcontrolgroup(P<0.01).Superoxidedismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)andglutathioneperoxidase(GSH-PX)activitiesof40%glycerolpretreated,freeze-driedRBCsalmostremainedfullyactiveafterfreeze-drying.After180daysstorage,theydecreasedby25.6%，21.5%and18.4

5、%,respectively,whicharesignificantlylowerthanthoseofnoglycerolpretreated,freeze-driedRBCs(P<0.1).ThesedatademonstratedthatglycerolpretreatmenthadbeneficialeffectsontherecoveryandantioxidantenzymeactivitiesoflyophilizedRBCs.Keywords：Glycerol；pretreatment；Freeze-
