3、erimentsanddatapost-processingmethodologieshasmadeitpossibletoenhanceourknowledgeofthephenomenon.Inthepresentwork,detailedresultsoftimeaveragedflowpropertiesaswellasunsteadyflowcharacteristicsinthenearwakeofasquarecylinderwithsidelengthDplacednearawallaremeasuredin
4、alow-speedwatertunnel.Particleimagevelocimetry(PIV)andtime-resolvedparticleimagevelocimetry(TR-PIV)measurementsareconductedforcylindertowallgapheights,G,fromG/D=0.1toG/D=1.0.ThePIVmeasurementsobtainsometime-meanresultssuchasvelocityfield,recirculationlengthandshear
