3、gduringtransientgridfaultsbecomesanobligationforthebulkwindgenerationunitsconnectedtothetransmissionnetworkanditishighlydesiredfordistributionwindgenerators.Aproposedschemeisimplementedtokeepthewind-powerDFIGoperatingduringtransientgridfaults.Challengesimpose
4、donthegeneratorconfigurationandthecontrolduringthefaultandrecoveringperiodsarepresented.AcomprehensivetimedomainmodelfortheDFIGwiththedecoupleddqcontrollerisimplementedusingMatlab/Simulinksoftware.Intensivesimulationresultsarediscussedtoensurethevalidityandfea
5、sibilityoftheproposedfaultridethroughtechnique.TheschemeprotectstheDFIGcomponents,fulfillsthegridcoderequirementsandoptimisesthehardwareaddedtothegenerator.1Introductionturbine.Asaresult,theDFIGprotectionwilldisconnectthewindgeneratorfromthegrid.Increasedpenet
6、rationofwindgenerationinpowergridsisevidentandissupportedbybeingclean,renewableandToavoidunfavourableeffectscausedbywindgenerationhavingminimalrunningcostrequirements.However,disconnection,gridcodesinsomecountrieswhichhaveincreaseddeploymentofgridconnectedwin
7、dgenerationhighpenetrationofwindpowergenerationrequirethatallraisesseveralconcernsduetoitsweakbehaviourduringnewinstalledwindturbinesshouldhavethecapabilityofvoltagedipdisturbances.Theresponseofwindturbinefaultridethrough(FRT)orlowvoltageridethroughgenerators
8、tothegridvoltagedipdisturbancescanwidely(LVRT)[5–7].Thiscapabilitymeansthatallgenerationaffectthesystemstabilityand,induecourse,itisintensivelyplants,includingwindgeneration,shouldhavethe
