3、ssesrequireprecisemotionsformaterialtransfer,packing,assembly,andelectricalwiring.Toachieveprecisemotions,mostofthesehigh-performancemanufacturingmachinesuseX-Yslidingtableswithpermanent-magnetmotrors.Thoughthismethodismostwidelyused,ithasdisadvantagesoflowaccuracy,highcost,andl
4、owreliability.Thisthesisdescribesthepositioncontrolofaswitchedreluctancemotorforhigh-performancemotionsinmanufacturingautomation.Theproposedactuatorhasverysimplestructureanditcanbemanufacturedeasily.Thereisnoneedformagnetsandwindingsintherotor.Theactuatorisextremelyrobustandcanb
5、eusedinahostileenvironment.Becauseofthecharacteristicofthehighnonlinearityofthemotor,anovelcontrolmethod,usingtheplug-inrobustcompensatorandthetorquelinearizationtechnique,isdevelopedforprecisionpositioncontroloftheactuator.Simulationandexperimentresultsofthemotionsystemindicate
6、thatthesystemhasgoodperformance.Inthisthesis,thefollowingpartsareincluded:(1)Aneffectiveswitchedreluctancemotormodelisoffered,whichcanbeuseduniversallywithoutcomplexchangesforswitchedreluctancemotorswithdifferentgeometrydimensions.(2)Thecharacteristicoftheswitchedreluctancemotor
7、ishighlynonlinearduetothecomplexelectromagneticcircuit,andthetorquegenerationhashightorqueripple,soanoveltwo-stagetorquelinearizationschemeisdevelopedtoperformthetorquelinearization.(3)Thepresentliteratureonswitchedreluctancemotordevelopmentseldomtargetshigh-precisionpositioncon
