1、AbstractThemaincomponentofcalciumcarbideresiduewasCa(OH)2,anditalsoincludedsomeSiO2,Fe2O3,MgO,Al2O3,etc.Itwasahotpointofstudyonthepreparationofhighvaluedcubicalcrystalnano-sizedcalciumcarbonatefromcalciumcarbideresidue.Calciumcarbideresiduewasaside-prod
2、uctproducedintheprocessofacetylenewithcalciumcarbide.Calciumcarbideresiduewasmainlyusedinsmoke-desulfurizing,cement-manufacturingandsoon.However,withthespringupofresearchandapplicationofnanometermaterial,theusedvalueofcalciumcarbideresiduewasimprovedgre
3、atlybythepreparationofnano-sizedcalciumcarbonate.Asasortofcheapandhigh-qualitypaddingandwhitepigment,thecalciumcarbonatehasbeenwidelyusedinmanyindustries,forexample,plastic,rubber,papermaking,coating,commoditychemistryandsoon.Especially,thenanometercalc
4、iumcarbonatecanenablethephysicalperformanceofproducttogetanenormousimprovement.Thereforethepreparationofnano-sizedcalciumcarbonate,whichhasabigmarketdemand,willbecomeagoodapproachofthecomprehensivetreatmentsofcalciumcarbideresidue.Nano-sizedcalciumcarbo
5、natewithrelativelyintactcubicalcrystalshapewaspreparedfromcalciumcarbideresiduebythemethodoftraditionalbubblingcarbonizationinastirredtankreactor.Effectsoftheratioofwater,ammoniumchloride,additivewiththecalciumcarbideresidue,andtheconcentrationofaqueous
6、ammoniaandthetemperatureofcarbonizationreactionwereinvestigatedwithexperiments.Atthesametime,theflowvelocityofCO2andthestirringspeedincarbonizationreactionswerestudied.ThroughthemeasurementandcharacterizationofCaCO3productwithXRD,SEM,BETanalyses,theobta
7、inedCaCO3productwasofcubicalcrystalnano-sizedcalciumrestructurewitharange30-80nmgranularity2and50-60m/gspecificsurface.Theresultsshowedthatitwasbenefitedfortheformationofcubicalnano-sizedcalciumcarbonateatthesuitablytemperature,stirringspeed,theflowvelo
8、cityofCO2andelectionofadditive.Theresultsofresearchshowthattheimpurityofinfusibilityandmetalionhasbeenremovedafterthecourseofthecalciumcarbideresidueresolvedinwaterandammoniumchloride,andtheyieldofCaCO3waslimeduptoabout82%.Thiste
