1、TheEffectsofSemanticClusteringandThematicClusteringonL2LexicalLearning Abstract:Thepresentstudyattemptstoexaminetheeffectsofthematicclusteringandsemanticclusteringonsecondlanguagevocabularylearning,themulti-dimensionalvocabularyknowledgetestsarewelldesigned.Itemployedtentestsmeasuring
2、fiveaspectsofwordknowledge(orthography,meaningandform,grammaticalfunction,syntagmaticassociationandparadigmaticassociation)toassesslearning.Thestudy’spurposeistodiscusswhetherthematicclusteringortheuseofmeaningfulcontextfacilitatesvocabularylearning.Theexperimentfindsthatthelearnershav
3、esignificantlyhigherscoresunderthelearningconditionofsemanticclusteringontheproductiveknowledgeasmeasuredusinggrammaticalfunction,syntagmaticassociationandparadigmaticassociationtests.Inaddition,learnersalsogotgoodmarksunderthelearningconditionofsemanticclusteringonotherdimensionsofvoc
