2、ryRevivalMovement.HewasthesoulofthemodernIreland.In1885,hebegantopublishpoems.Butverylittletranslationofhispoemswasdoneinourcountry.Hispoemsfirstappearedinourpapersin1921.OnlyafterYeatswasawardedtheNobelPrizeforliterature,didwepayattentiontohim.Becauseofthecontinuedc
3、ivilwars,almostnotranslationorintroductionofYeatscouldbefoundbefore1949.In1954,Yeats’TheFolkloresofIrelandwaspublished.ButthetranslationandintroductionofYeatswarestoppedforourdomesticreasons.ThetranslationofYeatsdidbegininthemiddleofthe1980’s.SoonmanyYeats’poemswerei
4、ntroducedtotheChinesereadersthroughtranslationandabigstirwasmade.QiuXiaolon7translatedsomeofYeats’lyricpoems,themostrepresentativebeingLedaandtheSwan.FuHaotranslatedthreevolumesofYeats’poems.WangJiaxineditedACollectionofYeatsPoems.XiMengtranslatedAVisionbyYeats.Manyr
5、esearchpapersstudyingYeatsandhispoemsfollowedthetranslations.LiXiaojun’spapermadeastudyofthethemeofYeats.HeShuwroteamonographstudyingtheIrishLiteraryRevivalMovement,inwhichhemadeananalysisandstudyofYeats,theleadingartistofthemovement.TheBiographyofYeatswrittenbyFuHao
6、wasthefirstmonographaboutYeats.ThebookintroducedYeats’lifeanddiscussedYeats’ideasandhiscreations,providingrichdetailedbackgroundmaterialsaboutYeats.PuDujiewroteapaperresearchingthesymbolsinYeats’poems.WuYaosudevotedawholechaptertodiscussYeats’pursuitforhisidealsociet
