2、diateaction,butsomehaveobsessedmeformanyyears.OneofthemisthatmanystudentsofminecannotachieveagoodresultintheirusualEnglishreading.Tosaymoreexactly,moststudentsofminecannotachievegoodmarksinEnglishreadingattheirexaminations.Butasafact,Englishreadingplaysanimportantroleinmanyaspectsofourli

3、feandbecomesmoreandmoreimportantinschool’steaching.Ontheotherhandthisresearchpresentsadetailedreportoftheprojectimplementedtofosterstudents’interestinEnglishreadingandtoimprovestudents’readingskill,throughbetter-designedreadingexercises.Basedontheassumptionthatbetter-designedreadingexerc

4、isesandbetter-organizedreadingclasscanincreasedthestudents’interestinreadingandthusmotivatethestudentstodoreadinghappily,atwelve-weekprogramwasadopted.Thehypothesisisverifiedbyathree-weekclassroomteachingofthenewlydesignedreadingexercisesandusedallkindsofreadingmethodssuchasskimming,scan

5、.Datawerecollectedthroughobservationanddiscussionofwhichshowsthatbetter-designedreadingexercisesreallycontributestostudents’motivationinreading.Basedonthedatacollectedbetweenthetargetgroupandcontrolgroup,itcanbeseenthatthebetter-designedtaskishelpfultomostlearners.Thelearners’interestinE

6、nglishreadingintheexperimentalgrouphasdistinctlyincreased.However,theprogramseemstobepowerlesstoacertainnumberstudents,theapplicationofthedesignseemsnotascompletelysuccessfulasexpected.Therefore,furtherresearchandadaptationareneeded.Inordertoseekthereasonout,anotherinvestigation---interv
