2、tentareaffectedbythesocialviewsandvalues.Wehaveperceivedthatmendominatelifeinsociety,especiallyinsomeimportantpositions,suchaspolitics,languageandsoon.Unavoidably,thekindofphenomenonhasbeenbias-basedandwomensufferedfromlanguagesexism.Sexdifferentiatedlanguageusecanreflectandhelpperp
3、etuatethesubordinatestatusofwomeninsociety.Since1960s,feministsstrivefortheeliminationofgenderdiscrimination,forthegreaterrecognitionofwomen’scontributionstosocietyandaimtochangemanyculturalandsocialcustomsthatperpetuatepatriarchalvaluesystems.Manyfieldsoflifearoundtheworldhavebeen,
4、orarebeing,affectedbythismovement.Oneofthemuchfeminismonsocietyisitsimpactonlanguage.Languageisamirror,whichcanreflectthesocietyphenomenon.Therefore,throughthelanguage,wecanknowevenifwomen’sstatushasbeenimproved,therestillexistssexism.Fromtheuseofsex,womenstillkeepsubordinatestatusi
5、nsociety.Ⅱ.SexDifferencesinEnglishLanguage2.1EmbodimentofSexDifferencesInEnglishandinmanyotherlanguagesthroughouttheworld,speechesofwomenandmenvaryinvariousaspects.ThissectionwilldemonstratesexdifferencesinEnglishlanguagefromfouraspects:phonologyandintonation,lexicon,syntaxandspeech
