2、oranalysingasinglephasepowersystemfeedinganon-linearload.Thisstrategyisbasedonanewtheorytotransformthetraditionalsinglephasepowersystemintoanequivalenttwo-axisorthogonalsystem.Thissystemisbasedoncomplementingthesinglephasesystemwithafictitioussecondphasesothatboth
3、ofthetwophasesgenerateanorthogonalpowersystem.Thiswouldyieldapowersystemwhichisanalogoustothethreephasepowersystembutwiththephaseshiftbetweensuccessivephasesequaltoл/2insteadof2л/3.ApplicationofthisnovelapproachmakesitpossibletousethecomplexorGaussdomainanalytical
4、methodinasimilarwaytothewellknownmethodofinstantaneousreactivepowerforthreephasepowersysteminstigatedbyAkagietalin1983.Thus,forthefictitioustwo-axisphasepowersystem,theconceptofinstantaneousactiveandreactivepowercouldbeinstigated.Moreover,theconceptofinstantaneous
5、powerfactorcouldbedefined.Thenovelstrategyofpowersystemanalysisoutlinedinthispaperisappliedtoasinglephasepowersystemfeedinganon-linearloadinconjunctionwithanactivepowerfilter.Thelatterservesthepurposeofcompensatingforeitheroftheinstantaneousreactivepowerortheharmo
