3、tsfordiagnosticandtherapeuticdevices.Also,healthserviceorganizationstendtobuyforeignratherthandomesticmedicalequipmentbecausetheformerareeasilyavailableonthedomesticmarketandpricesforbotharecomparablebecauseofinflation.ThetransitiontoamarketeconomyinRussiahashadsubstantialimpactontherelationsbetween

4、domesticmanufactur-ersandconsumersofmedicaldevices.Thespectrumandqualityofavailableitemshasbeensignificantlyextendedinrecentyears.Itshouldbealsonotedthatavailablemodelsofmedicaldevicesarecontinuouslyupdated,whichmakesthemsufficientlycompetitive.Representativeinformationontheupdatingdynamicsofdomesti

5、cmedicalequipmentissummarizedinTable1.ThedatawereprovidedbytheVNIIMP-VITAJoint-StockCompany,whichcompilesadatabankofsuchinformation.Generally,newitemsaccountfor37%oftotalproductionofmedicaldevices.Routinelyproduceddevices(durationofproduction,2-5years)accountfor28%.Medicaldevicesoflong-termproductio
