4、lyrecognisable.They’dfoundoutalotaboutthismysteriousspeciesfromtheskeletonandtissuesofthespecimen,oneofonlyfourfoundoverthepast100years,butnothingliketheinformationtheycouldgatherfromalivingspecimen.Amammaliancreaturethatalmostperfectlymimickedthecharacteristicsoffish,ratherlikethecowsthatwentback
5、intotheseatobecomewhales.Themer-creatureswerecertainlymorefish-likeinappearancethandolphinsandwhales,atleastinsomeareas,yetmorehuman-likethanevenapes-awonderfulpuzzleformanyareasofscience.Mulder’ssandalsflappedloudlyagainstthewhitesandsasherandownthelastdune,toofrantictocarewhenhetrippedandrolledt
