2、plicationforfederalcapitalfunding.BackgroundInformationInaccordancewith49U.S.C.5323(n),thefollowingcertificationsandassuranceshavebeencompiledforFederalTransitAdministration(FTA)assistanceprograms.FTArequestseachApplicanttoprovideasmanycertificationsa

3、ndassurancesasneededforallprogramsforwhichtheApplicantintendstoseekFTAassistanceduringFederalFiscalYear2012.FTArequeststheApplicantreadeachcertificationandassurancecarefullyandselectallcertificationsandassurancesthatmayapplytotheprogramsforwhichitexpe

4、ctstoseekFederalassistance.FTAandtheApplicantunderstandandagreethatnoteveryprovisionofthesecertificationsandassuranceswillapplytoeveryApplicantoreveryprojectforwhichFTAprovidesFederalfinancialassistance.Thetypeofprojectandtheselectionofthestatuteautho

5、rizingFederalfinancialassistancefortheprojectwilldeterminewhichprovisionsapply.ThetermsofthesecertificationsandassurancereflectapplicablerequirementsofFTA’senablinglegislationcurrentlyineffect.TheApplicantalsounderstandsandagreesthatthesecertification

6、sandassurancesarespecialpre-awardrequirementsspecificallyprescribedbyFederallaworregulationanddonotencompassallFederallaws,regulations,anddirectivesthatmayapplytotheApplicantoritsproject.AcomprehensivelistofthoseFederallaws,regulations,anddirectivesis
