3、ofoldmorphs,borrowingsfromotherlanguages,culturesorspecializedornon-elitedialects,wordscreatedbyanalogy,andwordsmodifiedtofitnewsyntacticslots.Wordsmaysimplyhavetheirsemanticrangealteredorexistingwordsmayfossilizeinphrasesactingassinglesemanticunits.Lexicalchangeusuallyinvolvesmaterialalready
