3、vatalugens(Stål)rearedonresistantricevarietyIR56.ChinJRiceSci,2016,30(5):552G558.Abstract:RicevarietieswiththeplanthopperresistancegeneBph3wereinitiallyreleasedandpromotedintheSoutheastAsiaintheearly1980s.Thesevarietiesarestillresistanttothebrownplanthopper[BPH,Nilaparvata
4、lugens(Stål)],whichhasattractedmuchattentionofricebreedersinChina.AlocalBPHpopulationthatwasforcedtofeedonIR56withBph3geneforover40generations(IR56p)wasusedtostudythevirulencecharacteristicsfromperspectivesofinsects(developmentandreproduction)andricevarietyreaction(SSSTtes
5、t).Theresultswereasfollows:1)IR56prearedonresistantriceIR56(IR56pGIR56)showedsignificantlyincreasedemergencerate(ER),newlyemergedadultbodyweight(BW),adultlongevity(AL),numberofeggslaid(NE),honeydewexcretion(HE),andadultweightgain(WG),aswellasmarkedlydecreasednymphalduratio
6、n(ND),comparedtoTN1population(TN1p,anormalpopulationrearedonasusceptiblericevarietyTN1)onriceIR56(TN1pGIR56).Incontrast,IR56pGIR56showedsimilarER,NEandegghatchability(EB),comparedtoTN1porIR56prearedonriceTN1(TN1pGTN1orIR56pGTN1),despitesignificantlylowerND,AL,HE,WGandlonge
7、rND.ThedifferenceinBWandNDbetweenIR56pGIR56andTN1pGTN1(orIR56pGTN1)waslessthanhalfofthatbetweenIR56pGIR56andTN1pGIR56.2)SSSTtestshowedthattheresistanceofriceIR56toIR56pwasGrade7,higherthanGrade3ofIR56toTN1p.TheresistanceofTN1toIR56pandTN1pwasGrade9(totalloss).Itisconcluded
