4、lugens(Stål)],whichhasattractedmuchattentionofricebreedersinChina．AlocalBPHpopulationthatwasforcedtofeedonIR５６withBph３geneforover４０generations(IR５６p)wasusedtostudythevirulencecharacteristicsfromperspectivesofinsects(developmentandreproduction)andricevarietyreaction(SSSTtes
5、t)．Theresultswereasfollows:１)IR５６prearedonresistantriceIR５６(IR５６pＧIR５６)showedsignificantlyincreasedemergencerate(ER),newlyemergedadultbodyweight(BW),adultlongevity(AL),numberofeggslaid(NE),honeydewexcretion(HE),andadultweightgain(WG),aswellasmarkedlydecreasednymphalduratio
6、n(ND),comparedtoTN１population(TN１p,anormalpopulationrearedonasusceptiblericevarietyTN１)onriceIR５６(TN１pＧIR５６)．Incontrast,IR５６pＧIR５６showedsimilarER,NEandegghatchability(EB),comparedtoTN１porIR５６prearedonriceTN１(TN１pＧTN１orIR５６pＧTN１),despitesignificantlylowerND,AL,HE,WGandlonge
