7、功率重量,降低制造成本的最有效方法。自从20世纪70年代涡轮增压在车用发动机上得到推广以后,更有了突飞猛进的发展。目前,己被世人公认为内燃机技术的发展方向之一,迄今仍保持着方兴未艾的发展势头。涡轮增压是一项新技术,几十年的发展历史有力地表明,涡轮增压是提高发动机功率和改善经济性的最有效措施,也是发动机强化的必然途径,它已成为当前内燃机发展的重要方向。涡轮增压是使柴油机动力装置降低成本、缩小体积、减轻重量最成功的方法。实践证明,对于安装尺寸受限制的应用(如船舶、机车、卡车等)上是最受欢迎的,涡轮增压在降低比油[10]耗、减少噪声
8、以及高原性能等方面胜过非增压发动机。60年代增压技术在中速柴油机上得到普遍应用,使强化指标有了很大提高;70年代的石油危机,又促使经济性指标(包括降低燃油耗率和使用劣质燃油)得到很大改善:80年代各国对环境污染的限制更为严格,制定了极为苛刻的环保法规,迫使柴油机制造厂商各自寻
