2、owncontentandinteractwithothers.Thiscontentcanbeintheformoftext,photos,orvideos.Withtheincreasedutilizationofsocialmediaindailylife,youthdevelopmentorganizationshaveaprimeopportunitytoeducateyoungpeopleaboutdigitalcitizenship.Socialmediaisstartingtobeacriti
3、calwaytoreachyoungpeople,enhancecommunication,andpromoteeducationandpositiveyouthdevelopmentoutcomes.However,theuseofsocialmediaentailscertainrisks,somecommontoface-to-faceinteraction,whileothersareuniquetothisnetworkedpublicspace.Intent:The4-HYouthDevelopm
4、entProgram(YDP)promotesthepositivedevelopmentofyoungpeopletoenablethemtothrive.Providingasafeenvironmentfreefromphysicalandpsychologicalharmisparamountinachievingthesedesiredoutcomes.Theintentoftheseguidelinesistoensurethe4-HYDPprovidesasafeplaceforyouthtod
5、eveloptheirtechnologyliteracy,interest,digitalcitizenship,identity,andrelationshipswhilealsoprotectingtheUniversityofCalifornia(UC).Policies:Inaccordancewiththe4-HPolicyHandbook,Chapter10XV,youthandadultvolunteersactingonbehalfofthe4-HYDPshallnot:1.Transmit
6、,post,orwillinglyreceivecorrespondence,text,graphics,movies,sounds,orothermediawhichcontains:profanity,advocacyoftheuseorpossessionofillegalsubstancesoralcoholicbeverages,advocacyoftheillegaluseortheillegalpossessionofweapons,orsolicitationortheadvocacyofse
