2、tweenwebtechnologyandJavaasaprogramminglanguage.Thefabricofthewebhowever,theopenprotocolslikeTCP/IP,HTTPandstandardslikeHTMLandXML,isinfactlanguage-,operating-system-,andvendor-neutral.ItcanbearguedthatJavaisnothingnew,andonlyaclevercocktailoffeaturesofseveraloldertechnologies.ANSICommonLispprovides

3、nearlyalloftheadvantagesthatmakeJavaattractive,includingautomaticmemorymanagement,dynamicobject-orientedprogrammingandportability.SeveralotherfeaturesincludingitsinteractivityandfulldynamictypingmakeLispdevelopmentaverydifferentexperience.ItismythesisthatthevenerablecomputerlanguageCommonLispisatleas
