2、,partsorappliancesusedoncivilaircraftmustcomplywithwhenitispresentedforairworthinesscertification.AEROSPACEFUEL,ENGINEOIL,ANDHYDRAULICFLUIDHOSEASSEMBLIES1.PurposeThisChineseTechnicalStandardOrder(CTSO)isformanufacturerssubmittinganapplicationforaerospacefu
3、el,engineoil,orhydraulicfluidhoseassembliesCTSOauthorization(CTSOA).ThisCTSOprescribestheminimumperformancestandards(MPS)thatanyaerospacefuel,engineoil,orhydraulicfluidhoseassembliesmustfirstmeetforapprovalandidentificationwiththeapplicableCTSOmarking.2.Ap
4、plicabilityThisCTSOaffectsnewapplicationsubmittedafteritseffectivedate.MajordesignchangestoarticleapprovedunderthisCTSOwillrequireanewauthorizationinaccordancewithsection21.310inCCAR-21R3.3.RequirementsNewmodelsofaerospacefuel,engineoil,orhydraulicfluidhos
5、e-1-CAACCTSO-C140assembliesidentifiedandmanufacturedonoraftertheeffectivedateofthisCTSOmustmeettherequirementssetforthinsection1,3,4and5ofSAEAS150REVC,titled“HoseAssembly,TypeClassificationsof,BasicPerformanceandFireResistance”(March,2001).a.Functionality.
6、ThestandardsofthisCTSOapplytoallaerospacefuel,engineoil,andhydraulicfluidhoseassembliesidentifiedormarkedwithCTSO-C140anddesignedforuseinanyareaofanaircraftincludingareasofhightemperaturesorpotentialfirezones.b.FailureConditionClassification.Omissionofafun
7、ctiondefinedinSAEAS150REVCmaycreateafailurecondition.Theapplicantmustdevelopeachhoseassemblytoatleastthedesignassurancelevelcommensuratewiththefailureconditionclassificationofthesysteminwhichitisinstalled.c.FunctionalQualification.Eachhoseassemblymustquali
8、fytotheperformancestandardsforthehoseassemblyasspecifiedinSAEAS150REVC.Thismustbeverifiedthroughcontinuoussamplingofhoseassembliesduringthemanufacturingprocess.Therequiredperformancemustbedemonstratedbyusingt
