2、usedoncivilaircraftmustcomplywithwhenitispresentedforairworthinesscertification.DistanceMeasuringEquipment(DME)OperatingwithintheRadioFrequencyRangeof960-1215Megahertz1.Purpose.ThisChinaCivilAviationTechnicalStandardOrder(CTSO)isformanufacturersapplyingforadistancemeasuringequipment(DME)operatingwi

3、thintheradiofrequencyrangeof960-1215megahertzCTSOauthorization(CTSOA).ThisCTSOprescribestheminimumperformancestandards(MPS)thatDMEmustfirstmeetforapprovalandidentificationwiththeapplicableCTSOmarking.2.Applicability.ThisCTSOaffectsnewapplicationsubmittedafteritseffectivedate.Majordesignchangestoart

4、icleapprovedunderthisCTSOwillrequireanewauthorizationinaccordancewithsection21.310ofCCAR-21R3.3.RequirementsNewmodelsofDMEidentifiedandmanufacturedonoraftertheeffectivedateofthisCTSOmustmeettheMPSrequirementsinRTCA/-1-CAACCTSO-C66cDO-189,“MinimumPerformanceStandardforAirborneDistanceMeasuringEquipm

5、ent(DME)OperatingWithintheRadioFrequencyRangeof960-1215Megahertz”,datedSeptember1985.a.EnvironmentalQualification.DemonstratetherequiredperformanceunderthetestconditionsspecifiedinRTCA/DO-160E,“EnvironmentalConditionsandTestProceduresforAirborneEquipment”,datedDecember9,2004.b.SoftwareQualification

6、Ifthearticleincludessoftware,developthesoftwareaccordingtoRTCA/DO-178B,“SoftwareConsiderationsinAirborneSystemsandEquipmentCertification”,datedDecember1,1992.c.Deviation.ForusingalternativeorequivalentmeansofcompliancetothecriteriaintheMPSofthisCTSO,theapplicantmustshowthattheequipmentmaintainsaneq
