2、surveyresultsfromthosethataretruereflectionsofthepopulation.Somechooseoneerrortostudy;otherschooseanother.Somestudywaystoeliminatetheerror;othersconcentrateonmeasuringitsimpactontheirwork.Butallofthemsharethepreoccupationwithweaknessesinthesurveymethod.Thereappeartobeatleasttwomajorlanguagesoferro
3、rthatareappliedtosurveydata.Theyareassociatedwithtwodifferentacademicdisciplinesandexemplifytheconsequencesofgroupsaddressingsimilarproblemsinisolationfromoneanother.Thetwodisciplinesarestatistics(especiallystatisticalsamplingtheory)andpsychology(especiallypsychometrictestandmeasurementtheory).Alt
